Flat Bottom Pouches
Flat Bottom pouches offer four sides sealing on two side gussets whereas side gusseted pouches are sealed just on the centre. Gussets on the sides enable package to be displayed vertically or horizontally on the shelf.
The gussets provide extra capacity by allowing sides to expand when filled with product. The weight of the product keeps the pouch upright. Flat Bottom pouches can be preferred for packaging large and bulkier items as sealing on all sides give extra support and strength to the pouch.

Stand up pouches are formed to stand freely on the shelves. The gusset at the bottom gives capacity for expansion and provides needed support for standing up-right on the display area.
